RSD Technik GmbH is one of the world's leading providers of marking and printing systems designed to meet all requirements in the field of industrial contact printing.

When Walter Wetzel, the company founder started using the seamless steel instead of traditional wooden rollers, it was the beginning of a new era. In 1923 he founded his own company which was the first one in the world to produce steel surface printing rollers.

For 84 years, the name WETZEL stands for expertise in all kinds of printing applications.

As well for world-wide activities as for strategic reasons, the "cable print division” of Wetzel became independent in 1999 and a new company was founded, the RSD Technik GmbH.

With the growing demand on the market, the globalisation through alliances with Gillies Technologies in the USA and the establishment of two new companies in Shenzen and Shanghai (China), RSD Technik is now the largest supplier for the cable and hose industries.

As a world citizen company, RSD Technik has been involved in the environment protection for many years, by constantly developing safer production processes, and achieved a decisive step by launching in 1995 the laser engraving process for the steel cylinders, therefore avoiding the use of highly hazardous substances in their manufacturing.

RSD Technik contributes to the preservation of a safe planet.

Engraved at the speed of light, RSD hardened steel chromium-plated printing wheels and rollers can be set in all machines available on the worldwide market.
